One of the quarry sites in Matina Pangi, Davao City cited by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) to have contributed to the flashflood that hit the city on June 28 which killed 30 people. The MGB recommends stopping the quarrying operations along the Diversion Road area as well as implementing soil erosion control in agricultural lands upstream.
