Bombs render Iligan bridge unsafe for passage

ILIGAN CITY (MindaNews/20 April) —  Bombs exploded on both sides of Agus Bridge here destroying parts of its steel beams and leaving a crack that could make it collapse anytime.

The bridge, which connects Iligan City to Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental and the Zamboanga provinces, has been rendered unsafe for passage.

Bus bombed in Kabacan, 4 hurt

KIDAPAWAN CITY (MindaNews/20 April) — Four passengers were wounded when an improvised bomb exploded inside a bus in Kabacan, North Cotabato at around 1:40 p.m., today.

The explosion took place inside a Rural Transit bus with body number 2772 and plate number KVS 700 as it passed in front of Sugni Superstore, which is along the national highway in Barangay Poblacion, Kabacan.

Cotabato City jailbreak: 15th escapee is a minor

KIDAPAWAN CITY (MindaNews/20 April) – A minor who was among those who escaped from the Cotabato City Jail on Thursday night and who surrendered on Sunday to Cotabato City Mayor Muslimin Sema was not included in the list of escapees submitted earlier by former warden Insp. Panga Arab.

The minor, who is facing a robbery case, brought to 15 the number of escapees.

7-month old baby killed in Ipil strafing

IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay (MindaNews/20 April) – Seven-month old Nuraine Abdulgani, adopted child of former village chief Ismael Abdulgani was recovering from an illness and was in deep sleep at around 1 a.m. Saturday, April 18 when gunshots rang out and bullets pierced the walls of their house in Barangay Tenan.

Nuraine never woke up. One of the bullets hit the side of her body, killing her.
