COTABATO CITY (MindaNews/08 May) – Civil society groups and election watchdogs have laid out plans for a better monitoring of the August 11, 2008 polls in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, amid calls for postponement from other sectors.

DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/12 March) – Muslims in Mindanao say voting in the national elections in 2007 was “clean and orderly in their precinct” but acknowledge that violence has become a “way of life” in their province during elections so they would rather have unopposed candidates.
