NAAWAN, Misamis Oriental (MindaNews / 29 June)—The dogged investigation of the Senate committee of Sen. Riza Hontiveros and Sherwin Gatchalian has defogged the true identity of Alice Guo.

The mayor of Bamban, Tarlac appeared to be Guo Hua Ping or Guo Huaping, a Fujian-born individual who entered the Philippines on January 12, 2003, when she was 13 years old.

Guo Huaping is a holder of a document stamped with the word “passport” issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Fujian on April 3, 1999. The passport showed that Guo Huaping is a student born on Aug. 31, 1990. The document had a stamp of 2003.04.04 as the “date of registry.”

The lawmaker said the documents came from the Board of Investments from the Guo family’s application for Special Investors Resident Visa (SIRV) and the Bureau of Immigration.

In the document labeled SIRV, Chinese was listed as Guo Huaping’s nationality.

A forensic analysis of Guo Huaping and Alice Guo fingerprints showed that the two are but one and the same person.

Gatchalian also found out that Guo Huaping’s, registered mother, hence Alice Guo’s, is named Lin Wenyi, a Chinese national, which further affirms that Alice Guo is Chinese and not a Filipino.

A quo warranto case is therefore in order to remove her from office and, possibly, to put her behind bars for perjury and falsification of documents in her bid for the Bamban, Tarlac post on top of her involvement in crimes associated with the operation of the Philippines Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) in Bamban.

Alice Guo should stay in jail for her crimes. If simply deported for her crimes, Guo would be laughing like the proverbial turtle who was thrown to the river

While our attention has been occupied by the Chinese aggressive incursions in the West Philippines Sea, China has surreptitiously gone deep inside, planting sleepers other than Alice Guo, all over the country, to tarnish and eventually strangle our sovereignty.

This adverse development was promoted by Duterte’s open door China policy. Chinese nationals were allowed to enter the country freely and would apply a visa only upon arrival. Thereupon, they flooded the country many of which roamed around undocumented, particularly when he permitted the operation of POGO. With POGO goes Chinese espionage, human trafficking, slavery, torture, murder, money laundering, prostitution, slavery, online scams and hacking of government and corporate websites.

The government ought to close all POGO establishments soonest possible to halt the horrific crimes they have spawned and cage all those responsible.
