The Cagayan de Oro local government spearheaded this year’s celebration of the Chinese New Year, sponsoring the fireworks display at the Paseo de Oro Boulevard Friday night and a dragon boat race along the Cagayan de Oro River on Sunday.[]
Asuncion said that at least 500 paddlers, officials and guests coming from all over the country are joining the race.
These visitors will help boost the local economy with their spending, Asuncion said.[]
