ZAMBOANGA CITY (MindaNews / 8 December) — A native of Mahayag town in Zamboanga del Sur topped the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers in the Secondary Level conducted in September 2023.
University of the Philippines-Cebu alumna Trilbe Lizann Espina Vasquez landed on top with a rating of 94.80 percent.
In a post on its website, the Professional Regulation Commission said 53,995 of 95,969 examinees passed, or a passing rate of 56.26 percent.
The other Mindanawons in the top 10 are 2nd placer Jaynel Evangelista Barzo of the University of Southern Mindanao-Kabacan (94.4 percent), 4th placer Joemar Encabo Peñalosa of Western Mindanao State University (94 percent), 5th placers Mike Lawrence Quinagotan Caballes of Southern Philippines Agri-Business, Marine and Aquatic School of Technology, and Deejay Almene Moreno of the Philippine Normal University-Mindanao (93.80 percent);
6th placers Diana Rose Aristales Jasmin of USM-Kabacan, Berry Patonongaon Lauron of Mindanao State University-General Santos City, and Glyza Faye Espongja Pahagac of University of Mindanao-Davao City, (93.6 percent), 7th placer Vearl Leroy Castillo of Andres Soriano College in Bislig, Surigao del Sur (93.4 percent);
8th placer Jay Ann Obien Yamut of USM-Kabacan (93.2 percent), 9th placers Kyle Lesther Ontoy Panugalon of Cor Jesu College (Holy Cross of Digos) and Francisco Ubongen Rubia III of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges in Koronadal City (93 percent), and 10th placer Jiselle Oracion Ayonan of Compostela Valley State College-Main (92.8 percent).
