DAVAO CITY (MindaNews / 23 January) – Want to know what your candidates think of national, Mindanao and local issues?

Watch out for Candid Dates 2022, a series of casual online conversations between Mindanawon voters and candidates running for President, Vice President and local seats in the May 9, 2022 elections. 

Candid Dates 2022 is presented by the Davao Association of Catholc Schools (DACS) and co-presented by the Initiatives for International Dialogue, MindaNews and the Mindanao Consortium of Ateneo (Ateneo de Davao, Zamboanga and Cagayan de Oro). 

“This initiative will allow us to know better the candidates running for different positions. This is the chance to learn their achievements, stance on various issues, and their platforms for the Filipino people. The questions will focus more on the Mindanao agenda,” DACS Executive Director Jimmie Loe dela Vega said in a statement. 

Candidates will not be given the set of questions ahead, “hence the monicker Candid-dates — an opportunity for us to evaluate the genuineness behind their interest in holding a public office,” he said. 

Questions will also be raised directly by participants in the series of online conversation that will start next month. (MindaNews)
