Judith Suarez, NUJP-Surigao del Sur chairperson, attributed the threats against Leonardo Hijara, aka Nardz Lagapak , anchor of Mata sa Katilingban radio program of Sure FM in Carrascal, to his criticism against the staff of the Carrascal Primary Health Care Facility.
Suarez, however, did not elaborate on Hijara’s criticism against the health facility staff.
She said Hijara started receiving the text messages 10:49am on Friday.
The first message, from mobile number 09973668693, said: “Jawa kaw na tao kaw Nardz taghanap mo gajod kamatajon mo dili kaw kaabot nan Tandag kuman na jawa kaw” (You’re a demon Nardz, you are looking for your death, you will never reach Tandag now, you demon), she said.
Tandag is the capital city of Surigao del Sur.
After a few minutes, another message, this time from mobile number 09094925652, said: “Uno saya nan taga -ospital na tag tudahan mo man jawa kaw. Taghanap mo gajud kamatayon mo kuman jawa kaw” (What’s the fault of the staff of the hospital that you loudly criticized, you demon. You are really looking for your death now, you demon), she said.
The last message said: “Lubngan ko nan bala jaon uyo mo” (I will bury a bullet in your head), she added.
The threats have been reported to the Carrascal police. (MindaNews)
