9 killed in Davao road crash

DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/11 June) – Nine persons, including a two-year old child, were confirmed killed when a truck rammed into several other vehicles and houses in Matina Pangi here around 9:30 am on Tuesday.

The two-year old boy was found buried beneath sacks of rice coming from the wayward truck.

The incident involved at least 21 other vehicles, including motorcycles, private cars and pedicabs.

Police, who were yet to release the identity of the driver, said the 10-wheeler wing van truck reportedly lost its brake while traversing Diversion Road.
