DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/26 April) – A graduate of Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology topped the Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination given this month, the Professional Regulation Commission announced on Thursday.
Christian Yecyec Cahig obtained a rating of 93.50 percent to tie Clark Sigmund Rabano de Castro of University of the Philippines-Los Baños at first place.
Jan Joe Silvino Castro of Central Mindanao University (CMU) in Musuan, Bukidnon landed on the 6th spot with a rating of 90.75 percent.
Joshua Manginsay Alarin of MSU-General Santos City placed 10th with a rating of 90.60 percent.
Five other graduates from UP-Los Baños also joined the top 10 spots.
PRC said 1,600 out of 2,548 examinees passed the examination held in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena and Tacloban.
Twenty-seven of 28 examinees (96.43 percent) from MSU-General Santos City hurdled the examination.
MSU-IIT got a passing average of 95.45 percent after 21 of its 22 examinees, who were all first-timers, made it.
No graduate from MSU-Marawi City joined the top 10 spots, but all its 19 examinees, including one repeater, passed the examination.
Thirty-three of 36 examinees from CMU passed the examination for a passing average of 91.
67 percent.
