ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanews/15 November) – A former town official who is seeking the post of vice mayor in Isabela City, Basilan was injured when motorcycle-riding gunmen shot him early Sunday morning.
Chief Insp. Joel Tuttuh, spokesperson of the Zamboanga City police, identified the victim as Sihon Indanan, 45, who served as councilor of Isabela before it became a city in 2001, and is now an independent candidate for vice mayor.[]
Tuttuh said Indanan was driving his motorcycle when shot twice by one of two men riding tandem on another motorcycle that tailed the victim around 12:20 a.[]

Tuttuh said Indanan sustained two gunshot wounds on his back and was admitted at the hospital for treatment. Three empty shells and a deformed slug of a caliber .[]
45 pistol were recovered at the crime scene.
