DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/06 September) — Two students from the Davao Medical School Foundation made it to the list of topnotchers in this year’s Physician Licensure Examination.
According to the results of the exams held last month released Friday by the Professional Regulation Commission, Francis Gerwin Uy Jalipa and Charlie Alberca Clarion placed 3rd and 6th, respectively.
Jalipa got 89.50%, while Clarion got 88.92%.
Twelve other examinees made it to the list of topnotchers, with Cebu Institute of Medicine’s Raymund Martin Sia Li taking the top spot with 89.58%.
DMSF had a passing rate of 90.10% students comprising 101 students, 91 of them first-time takers, adding it to the list of schools with 50 or more examinees with at least 80% passing percentage.
A total of 2,730 students took the test last August.
Meanwhile, Mindanao State University had an 88.
68% passing rate, with 47 students passing the exam.
Six students from the University of Santo Tomas also made it to the topnotchers list.
The other high performing schools in the list of topnotchers were San Beda College, University of the Philippines-Manila, and Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation. (MindaNews)
