MALAYBALAY CITY – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) today issued a gale warning for the eastern seaboards of Mindanao, Luzon and the Visayas but clarified that there is no tropical cyclone existing within the country’s area of responsibility.
Pagasa, however, said the intertropical convergence zone affecting Southern Mindanao will bring cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms in Davao Region, Caraga and the Soccsksargen area.
It warned these rains may trigger flash floods and landslides.
The rest of Mindanao will be cloudy with light to light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon, Eastern Visayas and
Eastern Mindanao causing the coastal waters along these areas to be moderate to rough, it added. (MindaNews)
