Games will immediately follow after the short opening rites set at 9 a.m. which will be graced by Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Commissioner Leon "Binggoy" Montemayor and Table Tennis and Association of the Philippines (TATAP) Regional vice president Councilor Peter Lavina.
The two day netfest will feature competition in men's and women's division.
Frendee Nunez of the organizing committee said top youth and veteran players in the region will see action in the tournament.
"It would be a show of the young players and veterans who are still capable of playing tough competition, " said Nunez.
Four ace paddlers from Tagum City have already confirmed their participation the other day in the tournament sponsored by Philippine Sports Commission.
But Nunez said he has yet to receive the confirmation of the invited players from Cagayan De Oro and Iligan cities.
Lavina will deliver inspirational message while Montemayor will declare the tournament open.
Cash prizes are up for grabs in the tournament under the supervision of the Metro Davao Table Tennis Association.
