Drought

|  April 8, 2010 - 8:14 am

The El Nino phenomenon in 2010 struck not only Mindanao but the entire country as well. The drought has damaged billions of pesos of agricultural lands and reduced water levels not only of rivers but also  of energy-generating lakes.  The provincial agricultural office of North Cotabato has reported that the drought has destroyed at least 8,900 hectares of agricultural crops worth P134 million.
