Towering over Davao City’s skyline is The Marco Polo Hotel, which closed in June 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, photographed on Tuesday (6 January 2026). Atop the iconic structure is the call to “BRING HIM HOME,” referring to former President Rodrigo Duterte, who was arrested and brought to The Hague on March 11, 2025 to face trial for crimes against humanity.
