An Army trooper keeps watch on the bridge overlooking the spot in Barangay Tukanalipao, Mamasapano, Maguindanao del Sur where SAF personnel and MILF fighters clashed 10 years ago today, 25 January 2025. The SAF, which was on a mission against Indonesian bomb expert Zulkifli bin Hir, aka Marwan, and Abdul Basit Usman, sustained 44 fatalities and the MILF, 18. Five civilians were also killed.
