Luzon Journos in Mamasapano

Journalists from Luzon and Metro Manila lay a wreath in the middle of a cornfield in Barangay Tukanalipao, Mamasapano, Maguindanao del Sur, where elite police Special Action Force troops clashed with MILF fighters on 25 January 2015. The SAF, which was on a mission against Indonesian bomb expert Zulkifli bin Hir, aka Marwan, and Abdul Basit Usman, sustained 44 fatalities and the MILF, 18.

Five civilians were also killed.
