Rebuilding a Bridge

09bridgerepair copy — Even on a Sunday (9 June 2024), workers rush repair of the Merila Bridge that connects barangays Ubaldo Laya and Tubod in Iligan City. The bridge was first damaged during a flood in March 2022, making it impassable.

Then it was totally washed out after another flood in November 2023 as the government was making repairs.
