Balobok Cave

This is part of the Balobok Cave in Barangay Lakit-Lakit in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, which offers a beautiful view of the sea in this photograph taken Tuesday (27 September 2023). The cave is being pushed as a heritage site for its beauty and for its historic significance as it reportedly hosts one of the earliest human settlements in Southeast Asia. It also served as sanctuary of Moro National Liberation Front fighters who defended the island during martial law in the 1970s.
