President Rodrigo Duterte shows printouts of photographs of Filipino workers in Kuwait who suffered abuses in the hands of their employers during a press conference Friday night, 09 February 2018 at the clubhouse of the Matina Enclaves in Davao City.

Duterte has ordered a ban on the deployment of workers in Kuwait and the repatriation within 72 hours of workers who want to come home.

“The Filipino is no slave to anyone, anywhere and everywhere,” he said.
