Stella Estremera, SunStar Davao editor-in-chief, shares her experience battling a libel case that has dragged on for nine years and four judges in a meeting with NUJP-Davao chair Jessie Casalda and other journalists on September 4, 2013.

In a 9-page decision, the Regional Trial Court Branch 18 in Digos City has found Estremera and former SunStar publisher Antonio Ajero guilty.

NUJP-Davao has vowed to support Estremera and Ajero as it calls for the decriminalization of libel.
