BLESSING. Mati Bishop Patricio Alo blesses the casket containing the remains of  broadacaster Nestor Libaton  at the San Nicolas de Tolentino Cathedral  during the funeral mass on Thursday afternoon, May 17.

Libaton, a member of the Catholic Media Network of the Diocese of Mati, Davao Oriental, was gunned down along the highway in Barangay Don Enrique Lopez in Mati on May 8. He was the  5th journalist killed in five months, and the 14th under the Aquino administration, according to  the National Union of Journalist of the Philippines.
