MARAWI CITY (MindaNews/1 Sept) — Still unidentified armed men kidnapped a Maranao businessman here early morning Tuesday, police said.
Supt. Cosani Derogongan, provincial police director, said Abdulcarim Magarang, 42, married, was forcibly taken along Ampuan St. in Barangay Lilod Madaya in this city.
Derogongan said initial police investigations disclosed that Magarang was on his way to the “padian” (market) aboard a pedicab driven by a certain Amiladen Comilao when flagged down by five armed men with assorted weapons riding a white Honda civic without plates.
The victim was forcibly taken at gunpoint and brought to still unknown location.
Derogongan said they do not know the motive yet. He added that there has been no ransom demand as of press time. (MindaNews)
