HOMILY: 25 years of Tribal Filipino Program: a cause worth defending and promoting
(Homily delivered by Cotabato Archbishop Orlando B. Quevedo during the mass on the 25th anniversary of the Tribal Filipino Program of the Diocese of Kidapawan on February 24. Archbishop Quevedo was Bishop of Kidapawan when the TFP was established in 1984. The homily was delivered in Cebuano. This is the English translation).
I thank you for inviting me to join you in celebrating your 25 years of service to the lumad of the Diocese of Kidapawan. It is a great honor to be here. To come to Kidapawan is like returning home.
Twenty-five years of the Tribal Filipino Program (TF Program)! 25 years of blessings from the Lord! Twenty five years of struggling for the sake of the lumad! You have succeeded and you have also failed. But the important thing is to keep on struggling.
