‘Love Bus’ arrives in Davao
The Department of Transportation has introduced the iconic “Love Bus” and offered free rides to commuters in Davao City.
Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon said eight “love Buses” were deployed to service the University of Mindanao-Matina to Mintal route daily.

5 passengers saved after boat sinks in Tawi-Tawi
Rescuers saved five persons from drowning after their boat capsized between Mantabuan and Latuan islands while they were going to Sapa-Sapa town in Tawi-Tawi on Friday last week.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Office coordinated the rescue with local police personnel and the Philippine Marines.

1 rebel killed in Lanao del Sur clash
Army troops on Saturday killed a communist rebel and seized his M16 rifle in Barangay Bandara Ingod in Amai Manabilang, Lanao del Sur, the ninth encounter between government soldiers and New People’s Army in the area this year.
BGen Billy Dela Rosa, commander of the103rd Infantry Brigade said the16th Scout Ranger Company that engaged the rebels belonging to the NPA Sub-regional Committee 5 suffered no casualties.
