LPA to bring rains in Northern Mindanao
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) spotted a low pressuring area 365 kilometers east southeast of General Santos City Wednesday morning.
The weather agency forecasted a 12-hour rainfall in the provinces of Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon.
It said the possibility of flash floods are high in the Mandulog, Agus, Liangan and Madulog rivers in Lanao del Norte.
Pagasa warned residents living on the eastern side of Cagayan de Oro River, Iponan River, Odiongan River in Gingoog City, Balatukan and Cabulig rivers in Misamis Oriental of possible floods. (Froilan Gallardo/MindaNews)
400 houses demolished inside Camp Evangelista
Amy officials said the demolition of over 400 houses in Camp Evangelista in Barangay Patag, Cagayan de Oro, home of the 4th Infantry Division, was successful.
Lt Col Francisco Garello, 4ID public information officer, said the demolition was conducted in five days based on a Supreme Court ruling dated November 20, 2013 declaring 42 hectares in Camp Evangelista a military reservation.

Floods displace 10,000 residents in Maguindanao del Sur
Over 10,000 residents from Pagalungan and Datu Montawal towns in Maguindanao del Sur evacuated after the waters in Rio Grande and Liguasan Marsh overflowed from its banks this week.
Ameer Jehad Ambolodto, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer, said torrential rains flooded 12 barangays in Pagalungan and 11 other barangays in Datu Montawal.
