Police said two motorcycle-riding men shot dead Gabriel Ogado, 23, and wounded his companion, Cesar Barrientos, 26, around 11 a.m. They were reportedly on their way to Purok Krislam in the Poblacion area, which is said to be a favorite spot where addicts hold their “shabu session.”
Ogado was reportedly shot twice in the head, causing his instantaneous death. Residents nearby rushed Barrientos to the Kabacan Medical Specialist Hospital.
Investigators recovered empty shells of a caliber .45 pistol from the crime scene.
Police are suspecting users of shabu and other illegal drugs hold their “shabu sessions” in Krislam.
