Prof. Michael Mastura, MILF peace panel negotiator reacting to a conference document that cited eight proposals from the government and only one from the MILF, said they deserve to be heard, too.
The document, a tabular presentation of proposals and responses from the "All Mindanao Leaders' Peace Consultation" on Oct. 9-10, was included in the conference kit.
"It is about time to reverse. Listen to the MILF, the MNLF (Moro National Liberation Front), listen to the Bangsamoro," he appealed as he opened his presentation on the MILF's updates on the peace process.
No member of the government peace panel attended on the first day of the conference entitled "Mindanawons Speak Up: A Stakeholders Conference on the Ancestral Domain Issue of the GRP-MILF peace talks" organized by Kusog Mindanaw.
Prof. Rudy Rodil and Sylvia Paraguya of the government peace panel attended on the second day of the conference.
Organizers said chief negotiator Silvestre Afable informed them the panel has an emergency meeting in line with the submission of its proposal on the ancestral domain issue on Nov. 15.
