Supt. Teng Mamalinta Tocao, officer-in-charge of the Sultan Kudarat Police, led the raid that led to the arrest of Alfredo Patricio, 37 years old, owner of a machine shop where materials used to manufacture the RPGs were recovered along Purok Waya-Waya in Barangay Poblacion.
Mamalinta’s group also recovered two RPGs, including three tubes of steel pipe, two bolts, tw o pieces rear, six front sights, and one firing pin for RPG.
They also confiscated from Patricio’s welding shop one belt bag containing a Nokia cellular phone and medical kits containing three surgical scissors, five syringes, thermometer, one box of bandage, one blood pressure apparatus, one stethoscope, and three bottles of sodium succinate allegedly for treatment of allergies and rheumatoid arthritis.
But authorities failed to arrest the principal suspect identified only by his alias as ‘Bro.”
Tocao said “Bro” is connected to a lawless group operating in Sultan sa Barongis, Maguindanao. He did not name the group.
Authorities filed a complaint for violation of Republic Act 8294 on illegal possession and manufacture of firearms.
