PROVINCIAL CAPITOL, Tuesday 22 March 2011:- Ambassador Harry K. Thomas Jr. of the United States paid a courtesy call on Governor Abdusakur M. Tan at the Office of the Governor at The Capitol today.
Ambassador Thomas was joined by Ms Gloria Steele, Mission Director of the USAid in the Philippines and other embassy staff and members of the JSOTF-P.[]
Governor Tan led the employees of the provincial government and local officials in welcoming Ambassador Thomas.[]
In his statement Ambassador Thomas paid tribute to Governor Tan for being a gracious host and hope that the people of the United States will continue to work together with the people of Sulu to bring about development and peace in the province.
Governor Tan expressed the appreciation of the provincial government and the people of Sulu for the support and assistance the American people had extended in various community projects in the province.
The Ambassador complimented the offering of native cakes and coffee during his short visit which he said he enjoyed so much. (Office of the Provincial Governor)
